The long-awaited new Shabbos
House is built, and in active use since Rosh Hashanah 5770/2009.
Thanks to all the sponsors and friends and students who have helped us reach
this amazing milestone!
But we still have a ways
to go!
More than $500K is still owed, and we need continued Building Fund support to
minimize the debt load
so as not to overwhelm the regular Operating Fund which Shabbos House runs at
minimal overhead and expense.
Once the debt-level is
lowered considerably, we look forward to finishing the basement / lower-level
and several other furnishing improvements and upgrades but that will wait for a future time.

A preliminary sketch of the Fuller Road side. The new building will be especially designed to be spacious and roomy, while preserving Shabbos House's beloved home-style, cozy welcoming atmosphere - as many students and alumni have asked for. |
