There are traditional (Orthodox / Chabad) Shabbos Minyans at Shabbos House and/or Chapel House on all weekends of the UAlbany academic calendar (and occasionally on weekends during the winter and summer breaks). Shabbos House Jewish Student Center is located on Fuller Road, perpendicular to Washington and Western Avenues, closer to Western Ave.

The hotels on Western are closer to Shabbos House (and Chapel House) than the Hotels on Washington Ave.

On/Near New Scotland Ave, Albany

The closest hotel within reasonable walking distance to the community-area shuls is the Hilton Garden Inn across the Albany Medical Center on 62 New Scotland Avenue (518) 396-3500 which is a decent (approx 1 mile) walk to Cong. Shomray Torah "the Shteeble" at 463 New Scotland Ave (just after the public library and firehouse).

A little further down on Holland Ave near Delaware Ave is the Towne Place Suites at 22 Holland Ave (518) 860-1500.
