May Tallit and Tefillin be one more merit to protect them.

A note from Rabbi Mendel:

I found it remarkable that disproportionate number of the photos of Israeli soldiers "massing on Israel's northern border" I've seen on news websites are of the soldiers wearing Tefillin.

This is no coincidence! In the days leading up to the 1967 Six Day War when all of Jewry feared the Arab nations would carry out tehir threat of pushing Israel into the Sea, the Rebbe said we would see great miracles, and encouraged the Tefillin campaign. For the Talmud interprets a verse regarding all the nations seeing G-d's name upon the Jews and G-d placing fear among the nations, as referring to Tefillin! And these news-sites are fulfilling that very mission!

Let us put on Tefillin, with the intent to provide additional merit and protection to the IDF soldiers protecting Israel's safety who are in harm's way.
