Candle-lighting is usually not permitted in
the dorms (though there have been some religious exceptions given).
Feel free to come over to Shabbos House at the appropriate time (before the
official prayer/dinner times) if you'd like to light candles.
www.FridayLight.org
is a world-wide effort to spread the light of Shabbat candles and has further
info.
If you need assistance with the blessings see
www.shabbatpeace.org site was
designed
for the Jewish Women's Global Campaign for Candle-Lighting on Rosh Hashana eve,
5764/2003.
For more information on times for
candle-lighting and other Mitzvot, and to customize it for your location
check out "Calendar" on the www.chabad.org
megasite.
