10 Reasons why contributing to the
Shabbos House Jewish Student Center Building Fund

may be your best investment

1. MAXIMIZING POTENTIAL
No other regional organization has more Jews per square foot. Now reaching Friday Night crowds of 110 (since then we've had 130!) - we're maxed out with no more room!

2. THE LITTLE HOUSE THAT COULD
Shabbos House reaches so many students using a very small, humble facility. Imagine the possibilities!

3. MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
With minimal overhead and salary expenses, your contributions go directly to serving the students.

4. TRACK RECORD
Since 1975 and going strong. Thousands of appreciative letters and e-mails, and continued contact with alumni are excellent indicators.

5. GREAT RETURNS
College years are critical for a Jewish future. This is an important time for charting the course of life ahead, involving students now makes all the difference.

6. HOME AWAY FROM HOME
This is not an impersonal institution. With its family-style, warm welcoming atmosphere and personal touch, Shabbos House reaches students where they need it most.

7. GRASS ROOTS INVOLVEMENT
Many students, alumni and their families are pledging "shares" and "dedications" as well as approaching philanthropists in their home communities, demonstrating their attachment.

8. A FULL PORTFOLIO
Jewish students of ALL backgrounds and affiliations feel comfortable and welcome here.

9. LIVING JUDAISM
Shabbos House offers a broad spectrum of programming, celebrations and learning opportunities.

10. MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM
Each dollar contributed by the "Shabbos House extended family" will be matched by a very generous matching gift program by friends of Shabbos House. Your gift goes a long way!

Each "share" in the new, bigger and better Shabbos House is $1,000 payable over 2 years.
Dedication opportunities range from a "Mezuzah" at $1,800 to larger room and facility dedications.
Shabbos House receives no funding from The University at Albany or National Chabad.
Contributions payable to "Shabbos House Chabad Center" are tax-deductible.
