Yom Kippur falls this year on Wednesday Night 9/8 thru Thursday Night 9/9

Obviously, as with nearly everything by Shabbos House and Hillel there's no charge to students, services will be in campus-friendly format, come dressed as you please and feel free to come and go as it works for you.

Pre-Fast Dinner: 4:15-5:45pm at Shabbos House
Traditional pre-fast meal, lots of food, in/out...

Kol Nidrei:  6:15pm at Campus Center Room 375 (3rd Floor on Left)
All Services join in a campus-friendly traditional service. Yishai Cohen ('04) will be returning from Florida and joining us again as Cantor, while Rabbi Mendel announces page numbers and shares a running commentary. Each Machzor includes an accompanying Machzor-Notes booklet (prepared by Rabbi Mendel).

Shachrit and Musaf - Morning Service
There's a variety of services available for Yom-Kippur Day:

  • Traditional Service 10am-2:30pm at Assembly Hall with Yishai Cohen and Rabbi Mendel

  • Egalitarian Service at CC 375 with Rabbi Nomi Manon, Executive Director at Hillel

  • Nature Walk and Discussion at 1:30pm

Mincha & Neilah - Afternoon & Closing Service: 5pm at Assembly Hall (CC 2nd Floor)
All Services join in a campus-friendly traditional service led by Yishai Cohen and Rabbi Mendel. The service ends with a Shofar blast.

Post-Yom-Kippur Break-Fast 7:05pm CC 375 sponsored by Hillel, Bagels, Shmears etc..

Remember: Sukkah Building BBQ: Sunday 10/12 12-6pm at Shabbos House
Get into the spirit, put in your energies into creating the unique setting for a week-long of Sukkot Holiday festivities climaxing with Simchat Torah - the big celebration, in the Shabbos House Sukkah. Sitting in the Sukkah isn't the same once you've had a hand in putting it up.
