Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat this year, Friday 9/21 thru Sat 9/22.

Pre-Fast Dinner: 4:30-6:15pm Campus Center Assembly Hall (2nd Floor on Right)
Most years the pre-fast dinner is held at Shabbos House, but being a Friday Night (and the alternating week for a Hillel Dinner) the pre-fast meal will be in the Campus Center catered by Chartwells Kosher Dining and sponsored by Hillel.

Kol Nidrei:  6:45pm at Campus Center Room 375 (3rd Floor on Left)
All Services join in a campus-friendly traditional service. Yishai Cohen ('04) will be joining us as  Cantor, while Rabbi Mendel announces page numbers and shares a running commentary. Each Machzor includes an accompanying Machzor-Notes booklet (prepared by Rabbi Mendel).

Shachrit and Musaf - Morning Service
There's a variety of services available for Yom-Kippur Day:

  • Traditional Service 10am-2:30pm at CC 375 with Yishai Cohen and Rabbi Mendel Rubin

  • Egalitarian Service at Terrace Lounge 10am

  • Afternoon Meditation & Spiritual Check-Up 1pm @ Terrace Lounge with Aviva Snyder

Mincha & Neilah - Afternoon & Closing Service: 5:30pm at CC 375
All Services join in a campus-friendly traditional service led by Yishai Cohen (Mincha) and Rabbi Mendel (Neilah). The service ends with a Shofar blast.

Post-Yom-Kippur Break-Fast 7:40pm CC 375 sponsored by Hillel, Bagels, Shmears etc..

Remember: Sukkah Building BBQ: Sunday 9/23 12-6pm at Shabbos House
Get into the spirit, put in your energies into creatingthe unique setting for a week-long of Sukkot Holiday festivities climaxing with Simchat Torah - the big celebration, in the Shabbos House Sukkah. Sitting in the Sukkah isn't the same once you've had a hand in putting it up.
