Rosh Hashanah 2007 begins Wed Night 9/12 and runs through Friday 9/14

No Campus Services - Local Synagogue Arrangements
Due to the extended SUNY Albany holiday break (Wed 1pm thru Monday morning) there will not be any official on-campus prayer services. If you will not be going home for the holiday, please contact Aviva Snyder, Director of Jewish Student Life at 489-8573*24 (by Sept 5) or Rabbi Mendel at Shabbos House 438-4227 for synagogue and/or home-hospitality arrangements.

Mini-Service at Shabbos House: Shofar, Holiday Foods & Tashlich
For those staying on-campus who did not wish to take advantage of local synagogue opportunities, on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Thursday 9/13 at 5pm, Shabbos House will be hosting a mini abridged service with Shofar Blowing, some Holiday Foods, and a walk to Indian Pond for the Tashlich Service. email RSVP's are appreciated so we can get a count.

Pre-Rosh Hashanah Events

SHOFAR FACTORY: Don't miss the exciting, hands-on Shofar Factory at Campus Center Small Fountain, where you can make your own Shofar out of a ram's horn. Wednesday, 9/5 from 11am until 2pm.

HOLIDAY PACKETS: The L'chaim Student Group along with Shabbos House and UAlbany Hillel put together 2,000 holiday awareness packets for distribution in the all the Quad Dining Halls. Inside each packet there's also a short list of Jewish holiday info. The packet night will be at the first Torah Tuesdays of the semester on 9/4 5:30 or 8:30pm at Shabbos House.
