UAlbany Pre-Purim 2009 Events:

Tues 3/3: "The Havdalah Refrain"
Torah Tuesdays at Shabbos House, 5:30 & 8:30pm w/ dairy dinner
"The Havdalah Refrain" insights into the Havdalah quote from Purim's Megillah
plus Purim Packet Packing for the Quad Dining Halls

Friday 3/6: Pre-Purim Persian Shabbat
Shabbat Dinner with L'chaim and pre-Purim spirit!
special Persian foods in honor of  the Purim-Persia Connection
Prayers 6pm @ Chapel House or Shabbos House
Shabbat Dinner 7pm at Shabbos House - All welcome!

Sat 3/7: Zachor Torah Reading
10am Shabbos Minyan at Chapel House
Parshat Zachor Torah Reading - approx 11:45am
-  considered to be one of the most important Torah Readings of the Jewish year -
1pm Shabbat Lunch at Shabbos House

Monday 3/9: Fast of Esther
Fast ends at: 7:22pm

UAlbany Purim 2009 Events:

Monday 3/9: Megillah, Masquerade and Carnival
Exciting evening in the University at Albany Campus Center Ballroom
Megillah Reading / Carnival and much more.. See Carnival 2009 Page for details..
All are welcome to enjoy activity booths and carnival atmosphere
Free for students, Community charge: $5pp, $20 max per family
Come in Costume - Prizes Awarded for Best Costumes

Tuesday 3/21: Purim Day - "Don't Mess with the Esther"
an Israeli themed Purim-Feast at Shabbos House, beginning with 5pm Megillah

There is no charge for any of these Pre-Purim and Purim events.
