Sale of Chametz
"Chametz" refers to
all leavened products including bread, bagels, cookies, pretzels,
macaroni, bear, whiskey etc.. For the duration of Passover, Jews are not
allowed to ear these foods or even have it in their possession. If you'd
like to "sell" your Chametz to a non-Jew before Passover, gather it up and
put it away in a drawer or cabinet or box, and fill out the online form at
www.capitalchabad.com/chametz
Seders &
Passover
UAlbany is giving
nearly a week off for Spring Break at Passover time - all of Passover is
off aside for the 8th and final day! Nearly all
students will be away, Shabbos House is assessing the need for hosting
Passover Seders (as we did some years). Please be in
touch with us (or call
518-438-4227) if you will be up here for Passover and are interested in a
Seder or Passover meals.
Dutch Kosher Dining for Passover
Being that students will be
away for most of Passover, Dutch will not be kosherizing the Kitchen for
Passover and serving hot meals. Stay tuned for possible boxed meals which
will likely need to be ordered ahead of time.
