WHAT'S HAPPENING @ UALBANY?

Seders & First Days of Passover
Passover falls later than usual, pretty close to finals and the semester's end. And it falls over a weekend, with only Monday off. Due to this scheduling, it appears that less students will be heading home for the holiday, so Shabbos House WILL BE hosting both Seders and Holiday Meals. If you are up here, you are most welcome. RSVPs are much appreciated as it helps us be properly prepared.

First Days of Passover Schedule at Shabbos House:

Friday Night 4/18
Informal Services 7:30, Dinner 8pm

Sat 4/19
10:20am Chametz Brunch
12pm and on Lunch
7pm Pre-Seder Nosh
8:15pm 1st Seder Begins

Sun 3/20 1st Day Passover
12pm and on Lunch
7pm Pre-Second-Seder Nosh
8:15pm 2nd Seder Begins

Monday 2nd Day of Passover
12pm and on Lunch
8:29pm Havdala

No Torah Tuesdays for Passover Week

The Seders will be cozy, student-friendly and traditional. Each Seder begins at 8:15pm. There's no pressure, no dress-code, if you have to leave early or come late, it's not a problem. Oh, we ask all guests to please not bring their own wine, if you are interested in buying Kosher wine for the Seder, please bring it over to Shabbos House on Friday afternoon, before the weekend.

Shabbos House will also be providing homestyle, cozy Passover food all weekend, until the Kosher Kitchen opens for Passover on Dutch Quad on Tuesday. There will be no formal prayer services, dinners will be served at 8pm and lunches at 12:30pm, aside for, of course, the Seders.

There is no charge for the Seders. We greatly appreciate parents and alumni support, as well as a special grant from the University at Albany Student Association and the L'chaim Group to provide these important services for students staying up here for the first weekend of Passover.
