Grad Party - Farewell to the UAlbany Class of 2006 at Shabbos House

The “Grad Party - Farewell to the UAlbany Class of 2006” was held at the Shabbos House Jewish Student Center, 316 Fuller Rd in Albany, at 5pm on Sunday, May 14th 2006. The annual celebration honors graduating seniors (both in May and December of 2006), as well as several graduate students completing a masters program, for their involvement in Jewish Life at UAlbany and recognizes their individual contributions and achievements.

Mrs. Brenda Lubrano-Birken, general counsel and director of legal services at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the University at Albany and its affiliated organizations, including Albany NanoTech, will address the graduates.

The event featured a hot buffet including pepper-steak, sesame chicken, meatballs, franks in blanks and other delicious foods... all made at Shabbos House, a picture-memories presentation reflecting on the past four years at Shabbos House, and a Senior Roast. Shabbos House presented each senior with a Shabbos House cookbook and a letter highlighting their accomplishments and contributions to Shabbos House and the UAlbany Jewish Community. Aviva Synder, Director of Hillel, presented each graduate with a Chamsah Bookmark to protect them on life's journey along with a nice card.
