Rubin Family Albany-Chicago Trip
Shavuos-Memorial Week 2007 / 5767

Thanks to the kids for being exceptional on the long road there and back, as well as during the holiday and Shabbat spent with relatives in Chicago. We all had a great time! Below are a few of the many pictures we took of our adventure...
At the shores of Lake Michigan, outside the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago.
A main reason for our long trip: The Upshernish (3 year-old first har-cutting ceremony) of little Mendel Wolf wrapped in a Tallis in the center.
Back to the Shedd Aquarium, Zeide Galperin holds an excited Bassie (as Chani looks on and follows the fish).

Reunion! In the home of the Silberberg's in West Rogers Park. Rabbi Silberberg (who heads the Lubavitch Mesivta Yeshiva in Chicago) is an old great Yeshiva friend and study partner of Rabbi Mendel Rubin.
No - it's not Target! The Rubins are pictured here inside the logo of the Corning Museum of Glass (there's a red stick protruding from the center ball which differentiates it from Target) where they visited on the way back from Chicago.
That intricate mesh ball made of glass represents the complex and interconnected world we live in.

This wall of "Cascading Triangles" looks too much like Hamantaschen.
This exquisite chandelier actually stands on the floor and extends down to the full height of our girls, plus whatever is above them.
