  • Explore possibility and feasibility of solar hot-water system as alternative energy source, we are meeting with an engineer and vendor to explore this option
  • Meet with architect and electrical people to discuss wiring & switches, locations and types
  • weighing pros and cons of commercial vs. residential kitchen appliances
320 Demolition on June 12th 2008 This long-awaited day has finally come. On Thursday, June 12th, 9th of Sivan, the house at 320 finally came down. See the "320 Demolition" pictures slideshow on Picasa, (link is now fixed) a few short video clips are searchable by the same title on YouTube and on our Facebook profile: "Shabbos House".

A few neighbors came by as the house came down. One remembers playing as a child with the Fricke kids who lived in 320. Many students have memories of times in 320. But it's coming down as Jewish Law says, "Destroying in order to Build." Mr. Micheli operating the big excavator tractor was precise in his destruction, doing one section at a time, ensuring the house would fall in on itself and not into the neighbors property. All that remained at the end of Thursday was the basement and foundation for the first floor, a huge pile of rubble above it, and the entrance doorway with the numbers 320 still intact. See the pictures.
