Menachem Manis Lotwin
Born
8/20/06 - Bris 8/27/06

Menachem Manis Lotwin is the newborn son of Efraim (Fred) ('01) and Shoshana (Stacey Wolinetz) Lotwin, and brother to Rochie Lotwin! The Lotwins now live in Kew Garden Hills, Queens, with numerous Kosher restaurants on its famous Main Street.

Lucky us - the Bris fell on the same morning as the Jason ('99) and Roni Nadell wedding in Cedarhust. So we were able to "chap-arein" 2 Simchas in one day!

Sorry there are no pictures of Efraim (Fred) here. Following the Bris ceremony, during the Seudas Mitzvah delicous breakfast spread, Efraim spoke emotionally about his maternal grandfather for whom Menachem Manis is named.

Menachem means comfort in Hebrew, and this grandfather was a special comfort to his grandchildren Fred and Irwin when their mother (his daughter) passed away untimely at a young age. He comforted them emotionally and physically, by being present all the time, and spending time with them, as well as spiritually by creating Shabbos atmosphere, teaching them to daven, and insisting that they attend Yeshiva.

Alumni Ben Lieb ('04) and Max Wein ('06) converse at Congregation Nachlat Yitzchak in the moments before the Bris. Atara (Manheim) Marzouk ('02) and her twins Noach and Binyamin.
We haven't seen Ben Lieb ('04) since he left for study in Israel in Fall 2005, and this is our last get-together before he flies back to Yeshiva there. Picture taken outside our minivan door in Woodmere NY.
