Event Program:

Jerry Kahn ('90) opened with a comedy routine, lots of quick one-liner jokes..

"Tidbits" was this year's Powerpoint presentation. Each slide exhibited a small (zoomed-in) portion of a familiar object at Suny Albany or Shabbos House, and invited all participants to call out what it was.

"Alumni2Alumni" a take-off of the popular Apples to Apples card-game, was played by giving each alumni present a purple card and a gold card, each with a random adjective. The idea was for everyone to connect one or two of those adjectives to their UAlbany or Shabbos House experience.

Souvenir: CD-ROM with updated Building Plans, Building Brochure, and the past year of "Torah-Tuesday" classes at Shabbos House in PDF format. Next year in mp3?

Genger ('04) and Gabe ('02) Lyle W ('05) (does bank work in Long Island) and Matt F ('04) (now a tax attorney working in NYC).
Steve L. (software company in Westchester) and Brian L. (NYC real-estate) Jerry Kahn ('90) did a humorous stand-up comedy routine to open the program.
Brian L. ('02) stands near a photo of himself at last year's reunion, looking at a collage of photos, where he is also included... a classic shot! Wendy, Tara Beth and Bassie, and the picture of the Rebbe.
The Food theme this year was Shabbos House salads and desserts. (Broccoli Salad, Chip-Salad, Angel-Hair Pasta, Craisin Cole-Slaw, Tri-Color Pasta Salad and more... Desserts-wise: Peanut-Butter Bars, Sprinkle Cookies, Ambrosia, Fruit-Cocktail 'n Cream, Brownies, Fruit-Platters and more...) As Raizy tends to over-prepare (better too have too much than not enough) guests had the opportunity to take home salads and desserts.
How about this two-tiered photo? Big Dave found his match in Leon Feingold ('94) who played in the Cleveland Indians farm team and now plays pitcher for the Israel Baseball League, when he isn't working in NY. In the front, Dave G (now a teacher) and Mike L. (finishing up med-school) catch up.

More Alumni Visits: As our alumni family has grown over the years, it's become more challenging to keep in touch and connected with our many friends from UAlbany and Shabbos House. So, in addition to the annual reunions, we now try to take 2-3 weeks a year, during the winter and summer breaks to visit as many alumni as possible, in their homes or offices - to stay in touch and keep the connection.
