Thanks to all who participated, making this reunion a wonderful, memorable and most enjoyable event!

Above is the group photo taken at the 2nd annual Shabbos House Alumni Reunion in NYC, on Sunday August 8th, 2004. It was held at Chabad of Midtown, 509 5th Ave in NYC. Ninety UAlbany alumni attended the event. In attendance were alumni from the NY Metro area, the Albany area, and from as far away as Pittsburgh PA, and Efrat, Israel.

A photo slideshow (powerpoint) of UAlbany students at Shabbos House from 1995-2004 was shown. Jerry Kahn (class of 1990) perfomed a comedy routine, and Dan Goetz (class of 1992) ‘rapped’ about Shabbos House. Present at the reunion was former Shabbos House director Pinchas Schreiber and his children, two of whom, Batsheva and Chani, played a musical performance.Of special interest were the 10 children of UAlbany alumni at the event. Each received a t-shirt which said, “Someone who loves me went to Shabbos House.”

A Kosher Chinese Buffet was served, prepared by Glatt Wok of Monsey, and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Kudos to Glatt Wok. Many alumni complimented this year's choice of location, as Midtown Chabad was roomier, brighter, far more elegant (and cheaper!) than our previous location. Thank you to Midtown Chabad for making this wonderful facility available to us. If you're in the city, check their website for superb lectures, Torah opportunities, Friday Night dinners and more.. they do everything with class.

Traffic in Manhattan was unusually heavy and complex due to the Dominican Fair on Madison Avenue, and another parade going down Sixth Avenue. So people kept coming all afternoon, starting at 4pm and ending around 8:30pm. It was a real pleasure to catch up with old friends, albeit for a short time, and get together again.

Another benefit to this reunion, was that although many others could not make it, due to scheduling and other reasons, but simply to touch base with old friends over the phone, IM or e-mail and to catch-up is in itself a blessing.
