Purim 1976
This was a famous Purim on campus, with incredible festivity and much celebration. At this point most of the pictures we have are of the costumed bear and gorilla, as well as some visiting guests who added to the festivities. Quite a number of community joined in as well.

			Seated in silly dress is "Izzy" Rosenfeld, later Director of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council. The back wall shows this was in the Campus Center Assembly Hall.
Between Gorilla and Guitarist is Rabbi Israel Rubin holding little Abba Rubin in white hat. Rabbi Mendel was 3 years old at this time.		Thanks to a tip from an alumni (thanks!) we are able to identify the two women speaking with Rabbi Israel Rubin (back to camera near clown guitarist). (L) Sharon Weintraub (then President of the Jewish Students Coalition - forerunner of Hillel - and (R) Vicki Yudenfriend (then 1st Vice President of the JSC).
